Enabling parent single sign-on security makes it possible for each parent/guardian to log in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal with one account and see any and all students for whom they have legal and parental rights to.
During late November (Specific date to be announced), KIS will be switching all parent access to Single-Sign On. All parents will be required to create their new Parent Account when the switch occurs.
Setting up your Single-sign on requires following a careful procedure.
1. The New Parent Account
KIS needs to create a New Parent Account. This is different to the current Access ID and Access Password that you currently use. Your Parent Account will enable you to link up all your enrolled children and view their progress through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
2. Complete Form to have KIS setup your new Parent Account
Please carefully write down, or make your own record of the information provided in the Form. Alternatively, request a copy to be sent to you upon completion of the form. You will need this information when PowerSchool Single Sign On goes live.
3. Wait for Email Confirmation of your Account details
2. You will be notified via your email address provided in the Form to confirm your access details for creating your new Parent Account.
3. An SMS announcement
An SMS will be sent to advise you of the exact date that Parent Single Sign On goes live. Training sessions for Parent to be held at KIS, will also be announced.
4. How to create your Parent Account.
The video below takes you through the process of creating your Parent Account. You will not be able to complete this until KIS switches to Single Sign On.
